It occurred to me that every time I read something I love, instead of sharing on Facebook/Twitter I could do a post each week with a few things I've been digging. Now, I'm not going to be able to promise I'll be able to keep this up as a weekly feature but do let me know if you find it useful because I'll do my best to keep on it if you do! LINKS//
Inspiring video about using your smart phone before bed.
I'm currently reading the Snow Child so these photos of people living in Alaska came just at the right time - but man, imagine living in Alaska? Hardcore.
I am LOVING the Green People blog (more on them next week) but this article about toxic chemicals in skincare is essential reading.
My new favourite blog is Nourish Meme - Lauren is a doctor in Brighton who, having been diagnosed with cancer and treated successfully, found her way into a healthier lifestyle and is eating her way to happiness. I have a total girl crush on her and her blog is just so inspiring.
I have no idea how I found it but I've been swooning every day at the new things of Monoqi each day. It's a bit like Achica but a thousand times better - you sign up with an email address (which usually I hate but I took a punt on this one) and you get a daily email but can choose to turn them off if you would prefer to just check it when you feel like splashing out. There's a lot of scandal style homewares and some high design clothing and accessories. I haven't bought anything yet but will let you know when I do!
Jon Hopkins - Late Night Tales. I love the whole Late Night Series but this one might be up there in my favourites with The Cinematic Orchestra and Bonobo's. It's also streaming for free today following the link.
MY WEEK OF INSTA//
Loving watching the changing weather through the studio window!
Meanwhile, Buster is enjoying watching the cars out of the living room window (I think it might be more to do with the warm spring-almost-here sun)
Shooting at Workshop for their new website..
Had to pop into Brighton again and found myself in Presuming Ed - a coffee house on London Rd. Absolutely loved it. People tapping away on laptops, someone sketching. Amazing cakes.
I still can't stop looking at by Nynne Rosenvinge print, but since featuring she has launched some paperweights that I want so bad.
Went into Lewes to photograph Freight and it was horribly rainy!
I finally hung my Small Talk print in my office having had it sat on the floor in various spots since moving in in October!
And finally, off my 'proper' camera is a long exposure I took of the moon hiding behind the chimney. The moon and stars (*sings*) are so beautifully clear here. I can't wait for balmy summer evening staring up at the stars!
