I first spotted The Future Kept on my Instagram feed, Jeska (who owns it) blogs under the name of Lobster & Swan, then Emma at A Quiet Style (who's blog you must follow if you don't already!) had posted about this gorgeous Sussex based online shop. A Future Kept is a new enterprise by husband and wife team Jeska & Dean Herne. This pair have a background in graphic and product design as well as brand development and it shows - everything about The Kept is spot on. I implore you to have a read of their 'About Us' page. Browsing their site I wanted everything but one product spoke volumes to me - it was just what I was after. The Future Kept were offering a 10% introductory discount so I snapped it up and treated myself to a housewarming present.
My package came as I was rushing out the door to a shoot but I took my time to unpack it and take some quick photos one rainy Sunday morning. It was beautifully packaged and felt like a such a treat.
This beautiful Fouta (used as Turkish Bath Towels, referred to as 'hammam') is 100% cotton and so versatile - it can be used as a shawl, a towel, a throw, a bedspread or you could just hang it from a wall. They're handcrafted using old age techniques from Tunisian and are produced in ethical environments (which means a lot to me).
I've photographed it in a few situations to show you it's versatility - I'm sure you'll see a few more images of it on my Instagram feed as I find more uses for it. Thanks A Future Kept - you made my weekend feel so much more indulgent! The lovely handwritten personal note added in to the package added to that two fold.
